The Art Behind the Quilts

I am third generation self-taught quilter and fiber artist. Since childhood, crafting and sewing has been my passion.

It is an inherited gift from my Gullah Geechee' Grandmothers. Early in their lives, my Grandmothers sewed out of necessity. However, necessity opened the door to creativity and innovation in both of their lives. I am fortunate to have the choice to create out of my love for the craft. Also, to tell stories or create & share imagery that matter to me using fabric, needle and thread.
