I am third generation self-taught quilter and fiber artist. Since childhood, crafting and sewing has been my passion.

It is an inherited gift from my Gullah Geechee' Grandmothers. Early in their lives, my Grandmothers sewed out of necessity. However, necessity opened the door to creativity and innovation in both of their lives. I am fortunate to have the choice to create out of my love for the craft. Also, to tell stories or create & share imagery that matter to me using fabric, needle and thread.

I use bright, vibrant cotton fabrics . For me, working in fabric is comparable to paint that a fine artist uses to express an idea or convey a story. Each idea manifests in its own individual style
